Safety Precautions For Seatbelt Tensioners

- Checking, removing, installing and servicing may ONLY be performed by qualified personnel.
- NEVER open or attempt to repair belt tensioner components; always use new parts (danger of injury).
- Seatbelt tensioner units that have been hit with any force or have fallen to the floor, must not be installed in a vehicle.
- Always replace belt tensioner units which have experienced mechanical damage (dents, cracks).
- Belt tensioner storage and transportation are covered under explosive substance laws.
- Always install belt tensioner units in the vehicle, as soon as they are removed from the packaging
- NEVER use impact wrenches to remove belt tensioners.
- If installation work is interrupted, IMMEDIATELY return the belt tensioner unit to its original packaging.
- NEVER leave a belt tensioner unattended.
- NEVER treat a belt tensioner unit with grease, cleaning products or anything similar. Do NOT expose the belt tensioner unit to temperatures above 100 degrees C even for a few seconds.
- The pyrotechnic ignition charge does not have an expiration date, i.e. it has an infinite shelf life and is maintenance free.
