Basic setting of hood - 1 - is performed via an adjustment at hood hinges - 8 -.

Basic setting of hood

NOTE:
- Vehicle must be standing on its wheels for basic setting of hood.
- Hood is properly adjusted when re is an overall even gap dimension when closed, it is not too far inward or outward and contours align.
- To adjust or check gap dimensions: Body panel gaps; Body, front.







- Remove hood lock.
- Remove gas-filled strut - 2 - at hood - 1 -.
- By loosening bolts - 9 - (not removing) hood - 1 - can be aligned between fenders.
- Hood - 1 - can be adjusted in height relative to fenders at left and right in front area using stops - 10 -.
- Rubber buffers - 11 - and guide pieces - 12 - are not used for adjustment. They serve to cushion lid.
- After installation or adjustment work, corrosion protection measure must be performed on hinge - 8 - and bolts - 9 -.
- If after closing hood gap dimensions are no longer as they had been adjusted, adjustment can be corrected by hood lock.
