Attachment and holding rig 3457:

Workshop crane V.A.G. 1202A:

Use workshop crane V.A.G1202A and attachment and holding rig 3457 to transport the automatic transmission as well as to attach transmission support 3282.

Secure transmission to assembly stand using workshop crane V.A.G1202A, attachment and holding rig 3457 and holding plate VW309 when performing repair work.
^ Disconnect ATF lines from transmission (only on vehicles with 6-cylinder engine).
^ Plug ATF connections using clean plugs.
^ Unbolt left and right transmission supports.





^ Attach attachment and holding rig 3457 to mounts on transmission housing and secure.
^ Hang attachment and holding rig 3457 with transmission on workshop crane V.A.G1202A.
