Gear oil, checking, 01A, 5 SPD. M/T (AWD)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Socket wrench insert 3357:

Torque wrench V.A.G. 1331:

Gear oil level is checked when transmission has been installed.





^ Remove bolt for checking transmission fluid.

Oil level is correct when final drive is filled up to lower edge of oil filler hole.
^ Screw in bolt.

When filling again, note the following:
^ Remove bolt.
^ Top off transmission fluid to lower edge of oil filler hole.
^ Screw in bolt.

Tightening torque
Screw for oil filler hole: 25 Nm
