Transfer case, servicing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)

The components shown in the following illustration can be removed with the transmission installed.





1. Hex socket head bolt, 23 Nm
2. Rear flanged shaft
3. Seal
4. Bolt, 23 Nm

5. Housing cover
^ with mass damper

6. O-ring
^ Coat with axle oil

7. Circlip
8. Grooved ball bearing Pressing off Pressing on
9. Spur gear - 1 -
^ For rear ring and pinion set

10. Circlip
11. Needle bearing
^ Remove only to replace
^ Drive in up to stop using sleeve 30-21

12. Bolt, 23 Nm
^ loosen and tighten in stages and in diagonal sequence

13. Transfer case
14. Clamping nut
15. Needle bearing
^ Remove only to replace

16. Circlip
17. Spur gear -2-
^ For rear ring and pinion set

18. Grooved ball bearing
^ Pressing off
^ Pressing on

19. Circlip
20. Washer
21. Guide plate
22. Bolt, 10 Nm
23. Circlip
24. Gasket
25. Torsen differential (PAT)
^ Replace complete unit if damaged

26. Seal
27. Magnet
28. Alignment pin
^ Qty. 2

29. Bleeder
^ For differential
^ With attached cover
^ Installation position: Without cover, breather must project 10 - 11 mm out of housing
