Inner Oil Line, Removing and Installing
Inner oil line, removing and installing, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
Oil line installer 3381:
Faulty O-rings on inner oil line allow ATF to leak into the final drive. This will lead to overfilling and oil will drip from the final drive breather hole.
A removed oil line is generally replaced.
The oil line must only be inserted using oil line installer 3381. Otherwise the risk exists that the oil line may leak due to bending.
Removing
^ Remove valve body with hydraulic control E17.
^ Remove valve body with hydraulic control E18/2.
^ Pry off inner oil line from transmission housing.
Installing
^ Replace O-rings.
^ Insert inner oil line into oil line installer 3381.
Open side of oil line installer 3381 faces toward outer wall of transmission.
^ Drive in oil line into transmission housing to stop of tool. Use a plastic mallet to do so.
Do not distort oil line. Drive both line ends in equally.
^ Install valve body with hydraulic control E17.
^ Install valve body with hydraulic control E18/2.
^ Add ATF, check ATF level and top off.
