Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Components, Removing And Installing
NOTE:
- Cylinder bank 1 is located on right side in direction of travel.
- Cylinder bank 2 is located on left side in direction of travel.
- Relay positions of relays in E-box (in plenum chamber, left), See Fig. 1.
1 Combination valve
- For cylinder bank 1
2 10 Nm
3 to Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-
- Item no. 7
4 Combination valve
- Cylinder bank 2
5 Gasket
- Always replace
6 Connection hose
- Route tension-free
- Between combination valve 1 and 2
7 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-*
8 Bracket
- For vacuum reservoir
9 Vacuum reservoir
10 Hose coupling
- Check for secure seating
- To disengage, squeeze together at front
11 Evaporator
- Check for secure seating
- To disengage, squeeze together at front
12 Intake hose
- Check for secure seating
- To disengage, squeeze together at front
- From upper part of air filter (cylinder bank 1), -item 14 -
13 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Motor -V101-*
14 Bracket
- For Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor
15 Pressure line
- Bolted at cylinder head cover
16 8 Nm
17 Evaporator
- Check for secure seating

NOTE:
- Do not use metallic tools to pry off relays from relay carrier. The terminals could conduct electricity.
- Check relay activation.
