Turbocharger With Attachments, Removing And Installing
Installation notes
Observe safety precautions.
Observe rules for cleanliness.
NOTE:
- All hose connections secured by clips.
- The charge air system must be free of leaks.
- Do not install hose connections with lubricant containing oil.
- For assembly use lubricating agent (water without additive) if necessary. Do not use lubricating agents containing oil.
- When repairing remove oil from connections and hose ends.
- Before connecting oil supply line fill turbocharger at connection with engine oil.
- After installing turbocharger run engine for approx. 1 minute at idling speed, do not rev engine. This ensures that the turbocharger is adequately lubricated.
- Replace self-locking nuts.
Turbocharger components, assembly overview
1. Oil supply line
- Fill connection with engine oil before connecting oil supply line
- Removing and installing

- Coat threads and bolt head seating surface with G 052 112 A3
- Fill connection with engine oil before connecting oil supply line
