VAS 5051 A, connecting and selecting functions
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A:
- ^ Diagnostic cable VAS 5051/5A or
- ^ Diagnostic cable VAS 5051/6A
CAUTION:
^ Test equipment must always be secured on the rear seat during a road test.
^ Drivers must NEVER operate these tools while driving.
- Remove cover for Data Link Connector (DLC).
- With ignition switched off, connect Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A with diagnostic cable VAS 5051/5A or diagnostic cable VAS 5051/6A to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Switch on Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A - arrow -.
Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A is ready for operation when a picture (photo) of a vehicle is displayed.
- Switch on ignition.
- Touch Guided Fault Finding on screen.
- Select one after another:
^ Brand
^ Model
^ Model year
^ Version
^ Engine identification
- Confirm entered data.
Note: Wait until tester has checked all control modules installed in the vehicle.
- Press Go to button and select "Function/component selection" function.
Note: Now follow the displays on screen to begin the desired functions.
