Clutch system, bleeding, 02M, 5 and 6 Spd. M/T

Special tools and equipment

VAS 5234 brake filler and bleeder unit:

- Bleed hose V.A.G 1238/B 3 of 670 mm

Brake fluid specification:

Note: Prefilling the system is not necessary.

- Connect bleed hose to collecting bottle on brake bleeding apparatus.





- Fit bleed hose (arrow) to clutch master cylinder and open bleeder valve.
- Pressurize system to 2 bar
- Open bleeder valve.
- Bleed off about 100 cm3 brake fluid.
- Rapidly operate pedal from stop to stop 10 to 15 times.
- Bleed off an additional 50 cm3 brake fluid.
- Close bleeder valve.
- After finishing bleeding process, depress clutch pedal several times.
