Installing and adjusting oil pump with balancer shaft assembly
Condition
^ Chain tensioner pre-tensioned
- Install oil pump with balancer shaft transmission. Tighten securing bolts from inside to outside to 15 Nm plus 1/4 turn (90°).
Note:
^ Observe the different bolt lengths.
- Turn crankshaft to TDC No. 1 cylinder - arrows -.
- Align mark - arrow - at chain sprocket of balancer shaft with fixture hole. Counterhold chain sprocket in this position with locking pin T10027. Place chain on chain sprocket of balancer shaft.
- Place milled side of oil pump shaft so that it is facing forward (travelling direction).
- Install chain sprocket of oil pump and tighten bolt by hand.
Note:
^ The chain sprocket of the oil pump only fits in one position. During installation, only the oil pump may be rotated.
- Remove locking pin T10027 and Allen key - 1 -.
- Secure chain sprocket of oil pump.
- Tightening torque: 20 Nm Counter support at central bolt of vibration damper
The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the disassembly sequence.
