Clutch system, bleeding, 012/01W, 5 SPD. M/T

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit VAS 5234:

Brake filling and bleeding tool VAG 1869:

Specification of brake fluid.

First open bleeder valve, before switching on brake filler/bleeder unit.
^ Clutch pedal not operated.
^ Connect Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit VAS 5234 or VAG 1869.
^ Remove noise insulation panel below transmission.





^ Connect catch container bleeder hose - A -, e.g. VAG 1794 onto slave cylinder breather - arrow -.
^ Now switch on brake filler/bleeder unit and bleed approximately 100 cm3 of brake fluid.

Transmission must be free of brake fluid.
^ Depress clutch pedal several times after completion of bleeding process.
^ Bleed system again if necessary.
^ Install noise insulation panel below transmission.
