Glass Panel For Sunroof, Adjusting (Height Adjustment)
NOTE: glass panel height adjustment is to be performed after glass panel has been closed out of sliding position.
- "0" position of sunroof OK.
- Tilt sunroof open.
- Slide sun protection toward rear.
Vehicles up to CW 35/02
- Unclip lower trim - 2 - in front area to vehicle center and unhook at rear.
- Unclip upper trim - 1 - at front and in center and remove at rear.
- Loosen mounting bolts - 3 - ( Torx key T25 4.5 Nm).
Vehicles as of CW 36/02
In vehicles as of CW 36/02 a boot is installed in place of a lower trim and an upper trim.
- Loosen mounting bolts ( Torx key T25; 4.5 Nm).
- Drive glass panel into "open" position.
- Drive glass panel into "closed" position.
Perform glass panel height adjustment at front and rear on both sides as follows:
Panel adjustment at front:
- a - = 01 mm lower than roof
- arrow - = direction of travel
- Tighten front bolts to 4.5 Nm.
Panel adjustment at rear:
- b - = 01 mm higher than roof
- arrow - = direction of travel
- Tighten center,then rear bolts to 4.5 Nm.
NOTE:
- To achieve best possible exterior optical characteristics, make sure that adjustment on left and right sides is performed as evenly (symmetrically) as possible.
- Glass panel must not be higher than roof at any point at front or lower than roof at any point at rear.
Vehicles up to CW 35/02
- Install upper trim - 1 - at rear and clip on in center and at front.
- Install lower trim - 2 - at rear and clip in at front.

- Installing boot.
