1. Wheel bearing housing

2. Wheel bearing
^ Removing and installing when the wheel bearing housing is installed
^ Installed location:
^ Larger diameter of wheel bearing faces hub
^ Pressing out 75 mm dia.
^ Pressing out 82 mm dia.
^ Pressing off bearing inner race and
^ Pressing in 75 mm dia.
^ Pressing in 82 mm dia

3. Wheel hub
^ Removing and installing when the wheel bearing housing is installed
^ Pressing out 75 mm dia.
^ Pressing out 82 mm dia.
^ Pressing in 75 mm dia.
^ Pressing in 82 mm dia

4. Bolt
5. Shield plate
6. Speed sensor
^ Disconnect out to remove
^ Before inserting sensor, clean inner surface of mounting hole and coat with Polycarbamide grease G 000 650

7. Clamping sleeve
^ Before inserting into wheel bearing housing, coat circumference with grease G 000 650
^ Press into wheel bearing housing onto stop

Installing separating device

^ Install separating device in notch between inner bearing ring and hub - arrow - and pretension.

Note:
^ Use commercially available separating device, e.g. Kukko 17/2.





Press bearing inner race from hub.





Pressing wheel bearing - A - into 75 mm diameter wheel bearing housing

Note:
^ Larger internal diameter of wheel bearing faces wheel hub.





Pressing wheel bearing - A - into 82 mm diameter wheel bearing housing

Note:
^ Larger internal diameter of wheel bearing faces wheel hub.





Pressing wheel hub into 75 mm diameter wheel bearing
^ When pressing in, the thrust pad VW 519 must bear only against inner race.

Note:
^ The wheel bearing housing must remain as horizontal as possible when pressing in.
^ Otherwise the wheel hub will bend in the wheel bearing which will lead to premature wheel bearing damage.





Pressing wheel hub into 82 mm diameter wheel bearing
^ When pressing in, the thrust pad VW 447 i must bear only against inner race.

Note:
^ The wheel bearing housing must remain as horizontal as possible when pressing in.
