Distance Sensor: Service and Repair



Distance Regulation Sensor, Installation Information

- Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor, installation instructions.
- The right distance regulation sensor -G259- is described and the description can be applied to the left sensor -G258-.
- The distance regulation sensor should be adjusted:



- Each time the distance regulation sensor is removed and installed or replaced,
- Each time the crossmember is removed and installed or replaced,
- If both of these parts may have experienced a forceful impact, such as in an accident.
- Keep a distance of 10 mm between the rear side of the distance regulation sensor and the radiator so adjustments can be made.
- After adjusting the distance regulation sensor, make sure it does not touch the radiator behind it.
- When installing the bumper, make sure it does not touch the distance regulation sensor.
- Make sure the front bumper cover is compatible with radar.
- The right distance regulation sensor -G259- is adjusted using the ADC test fixture (VAS 6041) and the vehicle alignment unit.

- Each time the lock carrier is removed and installed or replaced,
- If both of these parts may have experienced a forceful impact, such as in an accident.
- The right distance regulation sensor -G259- is adjusted using the ADR test fixture (VAS 6041) and the vehicle alignment unit.
