Securing Engine on Engine and Transmission Holder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

• Universal mount (VAS 6095/1)

• Bracket for V10 TDI engine, Touareg/Phaeton (VAS 6095/1-2)

• To perform repair work and for mounting the V10 engine, engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) must be modified with universal mounting (VAS 6095/1).

- Attach the bracket For V10 TDI engine (VAS 6095/1-2) to the sides (see sticker on bracket) of the cylinder block.

- Hand tighten all bolts with the engine hanging from the shop crane (VAS 6100) with the brackets on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Tighten the bolts for the bracket for V10 TDI engine (VAS 6095/1-2) to the cylinder block to 50 Nm.

- Tighten the bolts for the universal mount (VAS 6095/1) and bracket for V10 TDI engine (VAS 6095/1-2).

- Then lower engine from the shop crane (VAS 6100).
