Exhaust Gas Recirculation Assembly Overview
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Assembly Overview
• Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) 1 (J623) and ECM 2 (J624) via EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve (N18) (electro-pneumatic) and EGR valve 2 (N213) (electro-pneumatic) to the mechanical EGR valves.
• The mechanical EGR valve with cone shaped valve plunger makes different opening diameters possible at different valve lifts.
• The components illustrated correspond to cylinder bank 1. They are a mirror image of the components for cylinder bank 2.
