Airbag And Safety Belt Tensioner Wiring

CAUTION: Only one cable repair per harness is allowed: Repair locations increase electrical resistance and may result in faults being recognized by On Board Diagnostic (OBD).

Only one cable repair - check mark - per harness is allowed.

Repair locations in the vicinity of Airbags or Safety Belt Tensioners must be situated up to a maximum of 30 cm from the closest multi-pin connector. This, along with use of the yellow insulation tape, allows easy recognition of previous repairs.

CAUTION: When repairing Airbag or Safety Belt Tensioner wiring, ensure proper crimp connections to avoid subsequent corrosion.

NOTE: Subsequent to making wiring repairs, visibly mark repaired locations with yellow insulation tape. Do not re-wrap repaired cables in original wiring harness.
