Premium Radio/CD Player

Condition

CD may not eject from CD player. May be caused by mis-alignment of the Radio/CD player faceplate with the opening for CD insertion.

This mis-alignment coupled with a CD which is thicker than most may cause the condition listed.

Service

^ Three blank test CDs with a thickness of 1.2 mm or greater will be supplied to each Dealer along with the Paper copy of this Technical Bulletin.

These are Normal Data CDs which are normally thicker than Music CDs.

For vehicles which are to be Delivered to a Customer prior to the delivery of the Paper copy of this Bulletin:

- Obtain a data CD (must be 1.2 mm or thicker) from a local office supply company.

For ALL vehicles with radio/CD player during the PDI:





- Insert a blank test CD into CD player opening (black arrow).

- Push Eject button - white arrow- and wait for CD to eject.

Note:
If eject button is not pushed, the player will search for data on the GD. When it is determined that no data exists; CD-ERROR will be displayed and the CD will eject.

If CD ejects:

- Insert and eject CD several times:

If CD ejects:

- Remove CD for future use.

^ No further action is required, continue with PDI.

If CD does not eject:

- Replace radio/CD player with new unit according to Warranty Policy.

To assist the radio processors to quickly identify these units:

Dealer should state on the worksheet that the radio was replaced per Technical Bulletin V910410.
