I - Subframe, stabilizer bar, control arm, assembly overview

Note:
^ If a vehicle has a drive axle removed and is to be moved, an outer CV joint must be installed in place of the drive axle and be tightened to 50 Nm. Otherwise, the wheel beating will be damaged.
^ Welding and straightening operations are not permitted on load-beating or wheel-controlling components.
^ Always replace self-locking nuts.
^ Always replaced corroded nuts/bolts.





1 - Subframe retaining bracket
The captive nut cannot be reworked. If nut is damaged, replace complete mounting bracket.
2 - Weld nut in body
If weld nut threads are damaged, threads can be repaired using Heli-Coil thread inserts.
Servicing thread in side rail go to Threads in longitudinal member, servicing
3 - Bonded rubber bushing
^ Removing and installing go to Bonded rubber bushings for subframe, replacing

4 - Self-locking nut
^ Always replace

5 - Hex bolt M14 x 1.5 x 63
^ 100 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

6 - Rear control arm bushing
^ Installation location
^ Pressing out and in

7 - Hex bolt M12 x 1.5 x 70
^ 70 Nm and turn additional 90°
^ Always replace

8 - Plate with nuts
9 - Hex nut, self-locking, 45 Nm
^ Always replace

10 - Ball joint
^ Checking go to Ball joint, checking
^ Removing and installing go to Ball joint, removing and installing

11 - Hex head bolt
^ 20 Nm an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

12 - Control arm
13 - Connecting Link
^ Different versions

14 - Hex bolt
^ 15 Nm an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

15 - Hex nut
^ Self-locking
^ 15 Nm an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

16 - Stabilizer bar
The subframe must be lowered to remove and install.
^ Different versions
^ Modified mounting for stabilizer bar with all wheel drive go to Modified mounting for stabilizer bar

17 - Hex socket head bolt
18 - Hex bolt M 14 x 1.5 x 95
^ 100 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

19 - Front control arm bushing
^ Pressing out
^ Pressing in

20 - Hex bolt M 12 x 1.5 x 82
^ 70 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn 90°
^ Always replace

21 - Hex bolt, 50 Nm
^ M10 x 70

22 - Hex bolt, 50 Nm
^ M10 x 30

23 - Pendulum support
^ Different versions

24 - Hex bolt, 25 Nm
^ M8x45

25 - Rubber bushing
26 - Clamp
27 - Hex bolt, 25 Nm
28 - Subframe
^ If damaged, do not repair threads in subframe for front control arm bolt!
