Adjusting Rear Lid

Rear lid lock is bolted directly to the lid. It does not have elongated holes and therefore cannot be adjusted.

Stops do not serve to adjust the lid. They serve to stabilize and to cushion the rear lid.

To adjust or check panel gaps, use adjustment gauge (3371).

- Remove gas-filled strut. Refer to => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- Adjust rear lid at lid hinge by loosening the bolts - 9 -.





- Adjust rear lid with lid hinge by loosening the hex nut - 6 -.

- Adjust buffer.

The rear lid is properly adjusted when there is an overall even gap dimension and body contours align when closed

Adjusting Buffer

- Loosen stud screw - 1 - far enough until it is visible in buffer.





- Pull notched slider out of adjustment buffer.

- Set notched slider to dimension - a - = 12.5 mm.





- Close rear lid to initial locking position using light pressure over the center.

- Open rear lid again.





- Screw in clamping screw - 1 - for adjustment buffer to a depth of dimension - a - = 25 mm.

- Check the adjustment.
