HID Headlamp Control Modules (J343)/(J344)

• The Left HID headlamp control module (J343) / Right HID headlamp control module (J344) is not equipped with OBD.

• The illustrations show replacing on a left headlamp.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the screws - arrows - from the left HID headlamp control module (J343) - 1 -.






• Do not disconnect any connectors when removing the left HID headlamp control module. The connector is installed permanently on the headlamp and is automatically disconnected when removing the left HID headlamp control module.

- Remove the left HID headlamp control module - 1 - from the headlamp.

Installation


Make sure the seal is seated properly when installing the left HID headlamp control module. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps Overview, through MY 09 ] HID Headlamps Overview, through MY 09.

- Check headlamp for functions.

- Perform a basic setting on the headlamp.
