Maintenance Charging

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Solar Panel (VAS 6102A)

Perform the following work:

- Fasten the solar panel (VAS 6102A) to the interior rearview mirror - 1 -.





- Place the bottom on the instrument panel - 2 -.

• The solar panel VAS 6102A must not touch the instrument panel completely. Only the bottom edge may be used for support. If it touches completely, the color of the instrument panel could change.

- Pull the string together so that the (VAS 6102A) is close to the glass.

- Connect the (VAS 6102A) connector to the vehicle diagnostic connection. Connecting is the same as when connecting the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and information System (VAS 5051B). - Make sure the (VAS 6102A) is working. The green LED must come on.
