Antenna Systems

The antenna system consists of the following parts:

• Antenna (R11) / Radio antenna 2 (R93) in the rear window

• FM Frequency Filter (in negative wire) (R178) / FM Frequency Filter (in positive wire) (R179) on the C-pillars.

• Right antenna module (R109) on the rear window.

• option Satellite tuner antenna (R172) (roof antenna).

• option Navigation system antenna (R50) on the rear window.

• option Telephone antenna (R65) on the rear window.

The antenna system with diversity function serves to improve and optimize the reception quality in the vehicle. It is not installed with the Entry radio.

• Familiarity with the function and operation is essential in the event of customer concerns. Refer to Owner's Manual.

• After connecting the battery, check all the vehicle accessories, for example, the radio, the clock, the Comfort packages.

Antenna Module Installation Location





1. Right antenna module (R109) , removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Antenna Module ] Right Antenna Module (R109).

2. High-mounted brake lamp

3. Navigation system antenna (R50) , removing and installing, refer to => [ Navigation System Antenna ] Navigation System Antenna (R50).

4. Telephone antenna (R65) , removing and installing, refer to => [ Telephone Antenna ] Telephone Antenna (R65).


Repairing Antenna Wires

A new repair concept has been developed for repairing antenna wires. Instead of a complete antenna wire, connecting wires of different lengths and various adapter leads are now available as replacement parts.
