Electrical - Lock/Window/Fuel Door Switches Inoperative

Condition

Door, Left Front, Harness Wires Broken

The following faults may occur with driver door controls, but are not limited to:

- Driver's window switch inoperative

- Fuel door switch inoperative

- Door ajar light is on

- Door lock switch inoperative

Note:
Condition as described DOES NOT compromise door operation with interior handle.

Vehicles manufactured between January 2005 to January 2006 were built with an 80mm shorter front door wiring harness. Repeated opening and closing of door may cause wires within harness to overextend and break within the rubber flex boot.

Vehicles produced after 1K_6M759703 will have an 80mm longer harness.

^ Replace door harness if wires are broken within the rubber flex boot, see figure 1.
