• Note installation position

3 O-ring
• Replace
4 Bypass-flap
• For cooler for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
5 Radiator
• For Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system
6 To upper reservoir
• Coolant hose connection diagram => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Diagrams.
7 Front upper coolant pipe
• Connected with the front cylinder head cover to the cylinder head
• As a unit with the fuel lines
8 Connecting piece
9 Seal
• Check for secure seat
• Replace
10 Retaining clip
• Check for secure seat
11 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (G62 )
• With Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge sensor (G2)

• 25 Nm

• Checking: Heat up thermostat in water
Starts to open: approximately 85° C
Opening end: approximately 105° C
Opens: at least 7 mm
