Upper Engine Cover, Removing and Installing

CAUTION!
• To install engine cover or to engage at mounting points, be sure not to strike the engine cover with a fist or tool, danger of damage.

Engine Cover, 2.5L, Removing and Installing

Removing





- First, pull engine cover at mounting points - arrows A - carefully out of retainer.

- Then, pull engine cover carefully at mounting points - arrows B - out of retainer.

Installing





- First place engine cover on to rear mounting points - arrows B -, then on to front mounting points - arrows A -.

Carefully press by hand on to mounting points until engine cover engages audibly.

• Installation is reverse of removal.



Engine Cover, 4-Cylinder TDI PD, Removing and Installing





Removing

- Disengage and left engine cover - A -.

- Then pull off toward front.

Installing





- First slide engine cover - 1 - on mounting point - 2 - - arrows B - and - arrows A -.





- Place engine cover on to mounting points and press on so that cover engages.
