Electrical and Electronic Components and Locations

CAUTION!
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

Switch off all electrical consumers.

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Disconnect negative ( - ) battery terminal.

When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals, observe all applicable notes and tightening specifications, as well as instructions on performing OBD program and electrical system function checks as specified





1 Instrument cluster (K)

2 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge sensor ( G2)

Location depends on type of engine

3 Speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) (G22)

4 Fuel level sensor (G)

Monitored by OBD

5 Outside air temperature sensor (G17)

Monitored by OBD

Speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) (G22)





The speedometer sensor - arrow - is located in the area of the left-hand drive shaft flange on manual and automatic gearbox vehicles.

Fuel Level Sensor (G)





The fuel level sensor (G) is located in the fuel tank on the fuel delivery unit - arrow -.

Outside Air Temperature Sensor (G17)





The outside air temperature sensor (G17) is located on left of front bumper behind the outer air grille.

Unclip air grille to remove sensor.
