Intake Manifold Flap Assembly Overview

Intake manifold change-over is switched depending on engine speed and Throttle Position (TP).

When pressing the vacuum reservoir actuator on the conical pin on the shift rod, always support the shift of with a suitable wooden shim on the lower part of the intake manifold.

Intake Manifold Change-Over, Disassembling and Assembling

To prevent the variable intake manifold from warping, tighten it only in the sequence described.

- Remove the intake manifold change-over.

- Loosen the connecting bolts.

- Separate the upper part and the lower part of the intake manifold; if necessary, tap is lightly with a rubber hammer to loosen the two parts from each other.

- Clean the sealing surface.

- Replace gaskets.

- Assemble the upper and lower parts of the intake manifold and hand-tighten all the connecting bolts.

- Tighten all the connecting bolts to 10 Nm in the sequence shown.





- Install the intake manifold change-over.
