Front Seat Cover and Upholstery

• Due to equipment variations, small deviations must be considered during removal and installation.

Removal





- Remove seat.

- Remove backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Seats.

- Pull off cover - 1 - from seat frame - 2 - - arrows -.

- Guide the (80-200) between seat frame - 2 - and cover - 3 - and press apart retaining tabs - 4 - - arrow A -.

- Pull cover - 3 - out of guide on seat frame - 2 - and fold upward.

- Roll up cover far enough until upholstery wires become visible.





- Cut through upholstery clips - arrows - and remove cover from cushion.

- Remove the cushion.

- Remove seat occupied recognition (USA). Refer to => [ Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS) Underside Assembly Overview, USA ] Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS) Underside Assembly Overview, USA

• In vehicles with a passenger occupant detection system, the cushion must not be separated from the passenger occupant detection system mat.

• Seat cushion, mat for seat occupied recognition, control module and pressure sensor must only be replaced together. Components are complementary and must not be installed separately.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
