Pressure Leak Test

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Brake pressure gauge 0-250 bar (V.A.G 1310 A)

Test Requirement

Function and proper seal of brake system (hydraulic unit, brake hoses, brake lines and brake calipers) OK.

- Remove bleeder screw at one front brake caliper. Connect pressure gauge of (V.A.G 1310 A) and bleed.

- Apply pressure to brake pedal until gauge indicates positive pressure of 50 bar (725 psi). Pressure must not drop by more than 4 bar (58 psi) during test period of 45 seconds. If drop in pressure exceeds specification: replace main brake cylinder.
