Coolant Fan V7, removing and installing

Removing

CAUTION! Hot steam may escape when opening expansion tank. Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent damage to eyes and scalding. Cover cap with a rag and open very carefully.

- Drain coolant.
- Bring lock carrier into service position. Procedures

- Support lock carrier using a sleeve - B -, 80 mm in length, e.g. from supplementary set for holding fixture VW 540/1 A and a bolt - A -, M8x100.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - A -.

- Remove mounting bolts of air intake elbow - arrows -.
- Remove air intake elbow.

Installation is in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:
