- At factory, front and rear mufflers are installed as a single component. Replacement front and rear mufflers are supplied separately for repairs, with double clamp for connecting the joint.
- Using chassis saw e.g. V.A.G 1523, cut at right angle through connecting pipe at separation point.

Installation position of double clamp
- Arrow - points in direction of travel.
- Align double clamp - 1 - to marking on catalytic converter - 2 -.

Mounting bolts must not project beyond lower edge of double clamp.
