Engine, Securing on Assembly Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Lifting Tackle (3033)

Shop Crane (VAS 6100)

Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095)

Engine Lateral Bracket (T03001)

Transport Arm (T03002)

For performing work, secure the engine using (T03001) to the (VAS 6095).

- Remove the transmission

- Remove clamp - 1 - for wiring harness, remove bolts - 3 - and remove the shield- 2 -.





- Disconnect harness connectors - 1 and 2 - and remove the bracket bolts - 3 - - arrow -.





- Install the (T03002) as shown.





The pin - 1 - engages in the cylinder block. Tighten the knurled bolt - 2 - hand tight.

- Install the (T03001).





Tighten bolts - 1 and 3 - to 40 Nm, and bolt - 2 - to 25 Nm.

Bolts are designed so that they cannot be lost.

When removing, the (T03001) must be held at tension in direction of withdrawal, otherwise the bolt - 1 - cannot be removed.

- Install the (3033) as shown and lift using the (VAS 6100) from (V.A.G 1383A).





- Secure engine on the (VAS 6095).
