Removing Engine from Scissor Lift Platform VAS 6131

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Shop crane (VAS 6100)

• Transport strap (T10126)

• Transport strap (T10126/1)

• Frame support (T10191)

• Lifting tackle (3033)

Procedure

- Separate the transmission from the engine.

- Loosen nuts - A - for the engine mounts on both sides of the engine.





- Loosen support for V10, V8 and V6 assembly (VAS 6131/8) from scissor lift platform and remove it.

- Install the transport strap (T10126) and transport strap (T10126/1) on the cylinder heads as shown - arrows -.





- Hook the lifting tackle (3033) into the shop crane (VAS 6100) and into the transport loop.

- Lift the engine from the scissor lift table.

- Set engine in frame (T10191).
