Intake Connection, Assembly Overview

NOTE:
- When engine is switched off, the intake connection is closed for approx. 3 seconds and then opens again. This reduces the stop jolt.
- Components depicted here correspond to cylinder bank 2. They are different only as a mirror image of components for cylinder bank 1.

- Before installing, check sealing surfaces for contamination and clean if necessary

Cylinder bank 2:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve 2 N213 with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Position Sensor G466

If Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve with EGR Potentiometer is replaced, then do the following:
- Switch ignition on and off.
- Then wait for one minute for control module after-run.
- Start engine and let run at idle for at least 1 minute.
- Then, check DTC memory of engine control module (ECM), Checking and Erasing, DTC memory of engine control module (ECM), checking and erasing.

If a fault is stored in DTC memory:
- Repeat work procedure.
