Transmission code (Eos 2006 with 2.0L 147 kW gasoline engine), reading 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T

Short description





On the transmissions, transmission code letters are located on the top of the transmission in the area of the selector lever cable - two arrows -.

If these cannot be read or are on the head, the transmission code letters can also be read under the right assembly mounting plate.

To read the transmission code letters under the plate directly from the transmission, the engine and transmission must be supported.





The left assembly mounting plate - A - must be removed. When doing this, it is important to lower the engine/transmission only far enough until the plate can be slid toward rear. If lowered further, the pendulum support could be damaged. After reassembly, selector lever cable must be adjusted.

Code letters, reading
- Remove entire air filter housing.





- Remove battery and - battery box -.





- Install Bracket T10346 on long member.

(At back of three battery box mounting points)





- Support engine and transmission. Do not lift up.
^ Engine support bridge 10 - 222 A
^ Adapter 10 - 222 A /3
^ Adapter 10 - 222 A /8 flat side toward engine compartment
^ Bracket T 10346
^ Use Spacer 10 - 222 A /17 on front spindle





- Remove all bolts - 1 - and - 2 - of plate - A - -
- Then lower engine/transmission slightly over Engine Support Bridge 10 - 222 A spindles until plate can be removed.





Approximately 5 rotations is sufficient to remove plate - arrow -.

After that, transmission code letters can now be read off, reassembly is in reverse order.
- Follow all the following instructions nevertheless.
- Replace all left assembly mounting bolts.
- First install all new bolts by hand.





- To correctly attach plate - A - to transmission with bolts - 1 - and - 2 -, see torque specifications chapter.
- Always adjust selector lever cable.
