Wiper Frame With Linkage and Wiper Motor

• In order to be able to remove the wiper frames with linkages and wiper motor, the wiper arms, plenum chamber cover and plenum chamber bulkhead must be removed.

Requirements

• Wiper arms removed

• Plenum chamber cover removed

• Plenum chamber bulkhead removed

Removal






- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Battery In Engine Compartment or => [ Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment ] Disconnecting and Connecting Batteries In Luggage Compartment.

- Disconnect electrical connection - 1 -.

- Remove mounting bolts - arrows - and swing wiper motor and frame - 2 - upward and out of vehicle.

Installation






Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Guide wiper frame into plenum chamber.

• Note that securing pin - 2 - of the wiper frame must be inserted into grommet - 1 - on the bulkhead.

- Install bolts of wiper frame - arrows - and tighten bolts to 8 Nm.

- Connect harness connector to wiper motor connection and engage it.
