RNS 315
• Before troubleshooting or servicing, the technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the radio navigation system.
• Anti-theft code is equipped with protection code number. Refer to => [ RNS 315 Electronic Anti-Theft System, Deactivating ] RNS 315 Electronic Anti-Theft System, Deactivating.
• For servicing or troubleshooting, use Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B) in function "Guided Fault Finding".
• When the battery is reconnected, check any affected system or component (radio, clock, comfort electrical connection etc.) according to the Repair Information.
• For proper function of the navigation system, rotation angle sensor in unit must be set corresponding to installation position of unit in the vehicle. Therefore, always note the replacement part number when replacing the unit. An incorrect installation causes malfunctions in the navigation system.
The RNS 315 radio/navigation system has the following:
• 5-inch color display, 400 x 240 pixel

• AUX IN on the front of the unit with a jack plug
• UHV Low/Premium (stereo input)
• MP3 play back function
• Navigation function using a 3d card and language
• CD/SD Navigation (Navigation without a CD inserted)
• MDI (Mobile Device Interface)
• OPS (Optional Parking System)
• A/C information shown in the radio display
• External sound amplifier that can be controlled
• RDS (radio data system) FM/AM Europe radio with diversity and TMC (traffic message channel)
• 2 or 4 x 20 W output
• AUX IN connection
• External CD changer connection without MP3
• Support for multifunction steering wheel
• Support for multifunction indicator Plus (multifunction indicator, Highline instrument cluster)
• SCV (Speed Compensated Volume)
• OBD including speaker diagnosis
• CAN, TP 2.0, BAP
• Comfort coding
The RNS 315 also has an optional "Plus" version that has the following:
• A DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) tuner for receiving digital radio signals
• A universal cellular telephone preparation (UHV) with an integrated Bluetooth antenna
• The view transmitted from the optional rearview camera appearing in the radio display
