Disconnecting

• By disconnecting the negative battery connection (opening the circuit), it is possible to safely work on the electrical system.

• The battery positive wire and bridge only need to be disconnected to remove the batteries.


When disconnecting and connecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information.

- Close the CSC roof.

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Remove the luggage compartment cover from the luggage compartment.

- Remove the luggage compartment floor cover.

- Remove battery covers.






- First remove battery terminal clamp - 4 - (6 Nm) of the ground wire from the negative pole of the right starter battery.

- Then remove battery terminal clamp - 1 - (6 Nm) of the positive wire from the positive pole of the left starter battery.

- Remove battery terminal clamp - 2 - (6 Nm) and - 3 - (6 Nm) of the battery bridge.
