Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive Overview





1 Chain Guard

2 Chain

Mark the direction of travel (installed position) using a colored mark before removing.

3 Alignment Bushings

4 Intermediate Plate

5 Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive

Before installing, check to be sure both alignment pins are present for centering.

6 Bolt

9 Nm

7 Cover

Prevents the engine oil from foaming up.

8 Bolt

40 Nm

9 Bolt

8 Nm

10 Oil Intake Pipe

Clean the strainer if contaminated.

11 O-ring

Replace

12 Bolt

15 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

Replace

Note the different length of bolts, refer to => [ Balance Shaft Drive
Bolt Allocation ] Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive.

13 Outer Rotor

Check the contact surfaces for groove buildup.

Mark must be visible.

14 Inner Rotor

Check contact surfaces for groove buildup.

15 Oil Pump Cover

16 Chain Sprocket

17 Bolt

20 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

Replace

18 Chain Tensioner with Tensioning Rail

Preload, refer to => [ Chain Tensioner, Pre-tensioning ] Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive to install.

19 Bolt

15 Nm
