Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive Overview
1 Chain Guard
2 Chain
• Mark the direction of travel (installed position) using a colored mark before removing.
3 Alignment Bushings
4 Intermediate Plate
5 Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive
• Before installing, check to be sure both alignment pins are present for centering.
6 Bolt
• 9 Nm
7 Cover
• Prevents the engine oil from foaming up.
8 Bolt
• 40 Nm
9 Bolt
• 8 Nm
10 Oil Intake Pipe
• Clean the strainer if contaminated.
11 O-ring
• Replace
12 Bolt
• 15 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
• Replace
• Note the different length of bolts, refer to => [ Balance Shaft Drive
Bolt Allocation ] Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive.
13 Outer Rotor
• Check the contact surfaces for groove buildup.
• Mark must be visible.
14 Inner Rotor
• Check contact surfaces for groove buildup.
15 Oil Pump Cover
16 Chain Sprocket
17 Bolt
• 20 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
• Replace
18 Chain Tensioner with Tensioning Rail
• Preload, refer to => [ Chain Tensioner, Pre-tensioning ] Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive to install.
19 Bolt
• 15 Nm
