Relay Carrier At Vehicle Electrical System Control Module, At Left Instrument Panel, Removing And Installing
NOTE:
- Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 and relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel, are one component and cannot be separated.
- If Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 is to be replaced, the work procedure to read out the codes stored in the module must always be performed.
Removing:
- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
- Remove cover in drivers side footwell.
- Remove storage compartment on drivers side.
- Slide securing latch -1- of harness connector of relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel, in - direction of arrow A -.
- Slide Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 connector securing latch -2- in - direction of arrow B -.
NOTE: Harness connectors of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 and of relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel, can only be disconnected if securing latch was brought into position "OPEN" beforehand.
- Disconnect all harness connectors of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 and of relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel.
NOTE: The number of electrical connections depends on vehicle equipment level and market version.
- Clip Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 and relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel, out of locking devices -arrows C-.
- Pull Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519 and relay carrier at vehicle electrical system control module, at left instrument panel, downward and out of bracket in opposite direction of travel.
Installing:
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
NOTE: Connector lock can only be brought into position "CLOSE" when all connectors are "correctly" connected.
