Installation
• Do not touch glass cone when installing left HID headlamp bulb. Fingers leave traces of oil on the glass cone which can evaporate when Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L13) is switched on, causing the glass cone to cloud.
• The left HID headlamp bulb glass cone must not be placed under any mechanical strain. Glass cone is extremely sensitive and is also under high pressure.
• Avoid looking directly into focused light beam, since UV radiation from left HID headlamp bulb is approximately 2.5 times higher than that of standard Halogen lights.
• When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Check headlamp for functions.
- Check and adjust the headlamp adjustment.
If a headlamp with automatic vertical headlamp range control is removed, perform a basic setting on the headlamp after installing it.
