Halogen Headlamp Carrier Plate, From 07.2005

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (VAG 1331)

• Removing and installing the right carrier plate is shown in the illustrations.

• The adjusting mechanisms on the carrier plate make it possible to correct the position of the headlamp.

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical components.

• Remove the ignition key.

Removing

- Remove bolt - 1 -.





- Counterhold the adjusting mechanisms and remove the screws - 4 - and - 5 -.

- Remove the carrier plate and wire guide forward.

- Loosen the guide - 3 - from the carrier plate and disconnect the connector - 2 -.

- Remove the carrier plate.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Make sure the guide for the connector fits correctly in the carrier plate.

Tightening specification: 6 Nm
