Cruise Control, Activating and Deactivating
- Connect the (VAS 5051B).
- In (VAS 5051B), select operating mode " Guided Fault Finding".
- Using the Go To button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:
• Powertrain
• Select the installed engine
• 01 - On Board Diagnostic capable systems
• Motronic engine control module (gasoline engine)
• Diesel direct injection and preglow system (diesel)
• Functions
• OBD functions
• Cruise control engine control module, activating and deactivating
Cruise Control Switch
Cruise Control System functions are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623). The cruise control switch (E45) inside the steering column switch operates the cruise control.
There are no additional components in the turn signal lever other than the Cruise Control Switch (E45).

Checking the Cruise Control Switch ( E45):
- Connect the (VAS 5051B).
