Telephone Antenna

CAUTION!
Prior to working on the electrical system:

• Obtain the radio system anti-theft code.

• Switch off all electrical consumers.

• Switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

• Disconnect the battery.

• The telephone antenna has been installed in the New Beetle convertible since 9.02.

The bracket must be removed first.

The figure shows the bracket with the telephone antenna on the right side.

8. Insert screw 7.5 Nm, with locking compound D 185 400 A2

Removing

- Remove rear wheelhouse liner.

- Disconnect the connector from the telephone antenna.

- Remove the screws - 5 - and - 8 - and remove the bracket - 7 - and the telephone antenna - 2 -.





- Press the retaining clips open and remove the telephone antenna.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Telephone Antenna Overview ] Telephone Antenna (R65) Overview.
