Fuel Pump: Locations





High Pressure Pump - Assembly Overview







NOTE: Components marked with * are tested via On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC memory.

1 - Plunger
- Note installed position
2 - O-ring
- Lightly lubricate O-rings with clean engine oil before installing
3 - High pressure pump
- With Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276-*
- 2-pin connector
- Fuel pressure regulator valve, checking.
4 - 10 Nm
5 - Union nut, 25 Nm
- Do not install high pressure fuel pipe ( => item 6) under stress.
6 - Fuel line
- For high pressure
- Fuel pressure in high pressure line can be up to 120 bar. Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent injuries and contact with skin.
- Before loosening the fuel line, place a rag around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully loosening.
7 - Banjo fitting, 17 Nm
- With conical seal seat
- Counterhold on high pressure pump when loosening and tightening connection.
- Do not install low pressure fuel line ( => item 8) under stress.
8 - Fuel line
- For low pressure
- Before loosening the fuel line, place a rag around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully loosening.
9 - Seal
10 - Low Fuel Pressure Sensor -G410-*, 15 Nm
- 3-pin connector
- Terminals are gold-plated
