Intake Manifold: Locations





Intake Manifold, Assembly Overview







NOTE:
- Check vacuum reservoir in intake manifold for proper seal.
- Components marked with * are tested via On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Diagnostic mode 3: Check DTC memory.

1 - 8 Nm
2 - Guide tube
- for oil dipstick
3 - 6 Nm
4 - Bracket
- For Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Valve -N316-
5 - Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Valve -N316-*
- 2-pin connector
- Checking
6 - Seal
- Replace if damaged







7 - Vacuum actuator
- For intake manifold flaps
- Make sure intake manifold flaps are in position when installing: Intake manifold flaps must be opened
- Checking
8 - Intake manifold
- With intake manifold flaps and installed vacuum reservoir
- Check vacuum reservoir in intake manifold for proper seal.
9 - Vent line
- Check for secure fitting
- From Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve -N80-
10 - Vent line
- Check for secure fitting
- From the Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-
11 - 20 Nm







12 - Connection hose
- Check for secure fitting
- From vacuum booster pump, item 5
13 - Sealing grommet
- Replace if damaged
14 - Vacuum hose
- Check for secure fitting
- To Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Valve -N316-.
15 - Intake manifold support
16 - Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-*
- 6-pin connector
- Terminals of sensor and connector are gold-plated
- Checking
17 - 7 Nm
18 - Gasket
- Replace
- Ensure it is correctly seated in intake manifold







19 - Connecting piece
- For crankcase ventilation
- from cylinder head cover
- with Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Heating Element -N79-
20 - Fuel rail
- For cylinders 2, 4 and 6
- Spring elements of fuel injectors must always be replaced before installing fuel rail, item 3.
- Tighten mounting bolts uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
- Fuel rail with high pressure pump and fuel injectors - assembly overview.
21 - 30 Nm + 1/4 (90 degrees) turn
- Replace
- Tighten uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
