Dust and Pollen Filter, Cleaning Housing and Removing and Installing Filter Element

Removing

- Remove footwell trim - 1 - on passenger's side.





- Remove partition - 2 - from heating unit as shown in the following illustration.





- Remove plastic screws - 2 - and remove partition - 1 -.

- Release cover - 3 - in direction of - arrow -.





- Remove filter element - A - from shaft - B - of air conditioner or heater.





• Note installation location of dust and pollen filter.

• Observe waste disposal regulations!

• Clean the surrounding area of the dust and pollen filter in air conditioner shaft or heating before installing a new filter.

- Clean the air conditioner and heater duct, e.g. with a vacuum cleaner.

Installing

Installation is done in reverse sequence while observing the following:

- When inserting filter in air conditioner or heater duct, note flow-through direction. It is indicated on the filter element with an arrow.





- When installing, ensure the cover is seated correctly. It must be clipped in at both catches.
