Power Distribution Module: Description and Operation
Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519)
• Vehicle Electrical System Control Module and relay carrier on Vehicle Electrical System Control Module are one component and cannot be replaced separately.
• If Vehicle Electrical System Control Module or relay carrier is to be replaced, the work procedure => [ Vehicle Electrical System Control Module, Coding ] Programming and Relearning to read out the codes stored in the module must always be performed.

General Description:
Vehicle Electrical System Control Module performs the following tasks in the vehicle:
• Electric load management
• Exterior light control
• Turn signal control
• Wipers, rear window
• Heated rear window
• Interior light control
• Ambient lighting
• Terminal control
• Dimming, instrument illumination
• Fuel Pump (FP) supply
• Pre-energizing of generator
• Horn
The following functions can be adapted:
• Adapting high beams as assisting driving light, refer to => [ High Beams as Assisting Driving Light, Adapting ] Programming and Relearning.
• Adapting assisting driving light delay, refer to => [ Assisting Driving Light Delay, Adapting ] Programming and Relearning.
• Footwell illumination intensity, adapting, refer to => [ Footwell Illumination Intensity, Adapting ] Programming and Relearning.
• Setting Coming Home Time, refer to => [ Coming Home Time, Adapting ] Programming and Relearning.
• Setting Leaving Home Time, refer to => [ Leaving Home Time, Adapting ] Programming and Relearning.

• It depends on the vehicle equipment whether the adaptations listed above can be performed.
DTC Recognition and Display:
Vehicle Electrical System Control Module is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists in troubleshooting.
The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of one of the systems described.
